The team will field two cars in the British series and is seeking drivers for both entries.

Evans GP has competed in the Formula Regional Asia Championship since 2021, achieving race wins and podiums.

Owner Josh Evans said the team is excited to enter the upcoming series.

"As a team we have been watching the championship with interest and it looks to be a great racing environment for talented young drivers wanting to compete at a realistic budget level.”

"The professionalism of the series and how it is promoted is second to none, which is important for drivers and their sponsors,” said Evans.

Evans emphasised the team's role in providing a pathway for Australian drivers into European open-wheel racing series.

“As an Australian, I still have close connections with the racing scene back there, and while we are looking to accelerate the careers of talented drivers from all around the world, one of our team aims is to create a seamless transition for Australasian drivers wanting to launch their careers onto the European racing scene.”

The Melbourne-based team has established a base and entity in the UK, Evans GP Limited, which will also offer testing programs for young drivers.

The 2023 GB4 Championship gets underway 8-10 April at Oulton Park in Cheshire.
