Coming off a season-best fifth-place in Singapore, Ricciardo has fallen back out of the points in Japan and the United States, with a dismal sixteen-place finish at the Circuit of the Americas.

Despite his difficult season and uncertainty future, the Australia is upbeat ahead of the next grand prix.

"Buenos dias!" said Ricciardo.

"I’m looking forward to heading to Mexico City this week as we enter the last three races of the year."
"The atmosphere at the track is electric, and the fans are always so passionate."

"It will be good to get back racing with the quick turnaround from Austin as Sunday was a tricky race for me."

"It’s important we continue to keep working hard to get the rewards and finish the season strongly as a team."

The Formula 1 Mexico City Grand Prix gets underway on Saturday 29 October with Free Practice 1 at 5.00am (AEDT).
