Luke Browning fastest overall on final day of Formula 3 pre-season test
Luke Browning continued his fine form to take the fastest overall time in the FIA Formula 3 pre-season test in Bahrain.
The young Brit set the lap of 1:46.566 in the morning session on day three before teams turned to race simulations in the afternoon running on Tuesday.
The Hitech Pulse-Eight driver was consistently at the top of the timesheets in the first session and also took out the furthest distance with 35 laps around the Sakhir circuit, shared with Joshua Dufek for PHM AIX Racing.
Christian Mansell narrowly missed the top ten once again, finishing the morning in 11th after 34 laps, with fellow Aussie Tommy Smith in 26th on the same distance.
Teams entered their long run programs in the afternoon session, but lap times did begin to drop in the final half hour as drivers made the most of the twilight conditions.
Dino Beganovic was fastest for PREMA Racing with a time of 1:48.225, ahead of Noel León and Luke Browning, with Leonardo Fornaroli completing the most running on 47 laps.
