Luke Browning fastest on day two of Formula 3 test in Bahrain
Luke Browning went fastest on the second day of the FIA Formula 3 pre-season test in Bahrain with a lap of 1:46.819 in the afternoon session.
The Hitech Pulse-Eight driver set the lap in a competitive evening of running after a wet start to the three-day test on Sunday.
Austrian Charlie Wurz was fastest in the morning session for Jenzer Motorsport, clearing Spaniard Mari Boya by just one-thousandth of a second in the first dry running of the test.
Australian Christian Mansell missed out on the top ten by just 0.033s, 11th fastest in the opening session on Monday.
Countryman Tommy Smith was 29th for Van Amersfoort Racing after completing the most laps of the session with 34 tours in the books.
Teams and drivers continued to up the pace as they found more grip on the Sakhir circuit into the evening, with Boya challenging Campos driver Sebastián Montoya for the quickest time before Luke Browning went fastest overall.
The Briton was on top for day two ahead of Irish driver Alex Dunne, with Wurz's time from the morning session as the third-fastest of the day.
Australian Tommy Smith moved up to 21st, with Christian Mansell 25th in the afternoon session.

Leonardo Fornaroli, Santiago Ramos, and Sami Meguetonif all completed the furthest distance of a session so far with 47 laps each as the sun set in the desert.
The FIA Formula 3 field returns for a final day of testing on Tuesday.
