Kiwi Louis Sharp battling for British F4 title in Brands Hatch finale
Louis Sharp goes into the final round of the British F4 championship with just a three-point lead of the standings.
The 16-year-old Kiwi from Christchurch has been locked in a battle with Briton William Macintyre throughout the final stages of the season in the competitive field as they head into the final three races of the year.
Both hold 12 podiums each, with Sharp five wins for team Rodin Carlin ahead of Macintyre’s two for Hitech Pulse-Eight.
Sharp held the advantage in the early stages of the season after two wins in Donington Park and a string of podiums, but consistency from Macintyre has kept him in title contention.
Aussies Noah Lisle and Jimmy Piszcyk will both have their roles to play, driving for Rodin and Hitech respectively as the two teams battle for the Teams’ Cup, separated by just 27 points.
Race one of the season finale at Brands Hatch kicks off at 2.30am Sunday (AEDT) before race two at 10.10pm and race three at 1.55am Monday, with live coverage on British broadcaster ITV (requires VPN.)
