Jamie Chadwick promoted to F3 Asian victory after late post-race penalty
2019 W Series champion Jamie Chadwick has taken her maiden win in the 2019-20 F3 Asian Championship, after provisional winner Pietro Fittipaldi received a post-race penalty.
The finishing order on-track for Race 2 at Chang International Circuit was Ukyo Sasahara, Mikhael Belov, Pietro Fittipaldi, then Jamie Chadwick.
A chaotic slew of penalties and promotions dramatically changed the order: Sasahara is ineligible for points as last year’s champion, Belov with a 10-second time penalty for a track-limits infringement during the race, and then Fittipaldi earning a post-race penalty.
The final finishing order has Chadwick taking the victory, followed by Joey Alders and Pietro Fittipaldi.
