Jack Doohan third fastest in first day of FIA Formula 2 post-season test
Red Bull junior Jehan Daruvala was fastest on the first day of FIA Formula 2 testing at Yas Marina ahead of Felipe Drugovich and Jack Doohan.
Drugovich set the first competitive time on the opening day of the three-day test, completing the circuit with a time of 1:35.577 in the first 30 minutes of the morning session.
Daruvala was second-fastest in the early running, while Jüri Vips briefly held the third-fastest sport before a coming together with Dennis Hauger.
Aussie Jack Doohan moved up to third as he tested for UNI-Virtuosi, just ahead of kiwi Liam Lawson driving for Carlin.
Drivers enjoyed much more running in the afternoon session with less red flags due to stoppages.
Olli Caldwell set the early pace before Daruvala, Frederik Vesti and Théo Pourchaire all swapped spots at the top of the time sheet.
Daruvala set the quickest time of the day with a 1:35.435, with Druovich and Doohan completing the top three.
