New Zealand Grand Prix practice sessions too close to call between rivals

I was going to write about today’s three practice sessions in the 2019 Castrol Toyota Racing Series.

Practice 1

1) Liam Lawson - 1:02:501

2) Marcus Armstrong - 1:02:737 (+0.236)

Practice 2

2) Marcus Armstrong - 1:03:568

9) Liam Lawson - 1:03:814 (+0.246)

Practice 3

2) Liam Lawson - 1:03:530

3) Marcus Armstrong - 1:03:591 (+0.061)

These two championship rivals are so close that it is actually pointless making any comparisons or gaining anything from this.

They traded an almost identical gap from Practice 1 to Practice 2, and were only six hundredths of a second apart in the last session of the day.

Qualifying 1 tomorrow morning is going to be one to watch. Get ready.

(Lucas Auer and Raoul Hyman still have a mathematical chance at winning but their practice times were a bit more varied so this doesn’t include them.)

Join us for the Castrol Toyota Racing Series Qualifying 1 at 0850 AEDT tomorrow before Race 1 for the Dan Higgins Trophy at 1316 AEDT.
