Hugh Barter to contest Spanish Formula 4 with Campos
Hugh Barter will contest the 2022 Formula 4 Spain Championship with Spanish motorsport powerhouse Campos Racing.
The Japanese-Australian joins the three-car line-up after finishing as Vice-Champion in his single-seater debut last year.
Barter claimed two wins and eight podiums in the French F4 championship on his way to the runner-up title.
"I feel extremely excited and honoured to join such a prestigious and well known team," said Barter.
"We will be giving it our all this year to come home with the championship title."
The Spanish series moves to a new car this year, the halo-equipped Tatuus T-021.
Barter will drive alongside Serbian Filip Jeníc and Danish George Kelstrup.
"It’s such a pleasure to have a vastly experienced F4 driver as Hugh, who was Vice-Champion in the French series last year," said Adrían Campos, Campos Racing Sporting Director.
"Our goal is to improve that result working together."
The F4 Spain season begins at Algarve International Circuit on 29 April - 1 May.
