Formula 1 extends Austrian Grand Prix contract until 2030
Formula 1 will continue to race in Austria until 2030 in a new long-term agreement announced ahead of the Austrian Grand Prix start on Sunday.
After a previous four-year renewal from 2024 to 2027, the contract to hold the race in Spielberg has been extended another three years to 2030, the window in which the majority of the Formula 1 calendar will be up for review.
“I am delighted to announce this news with our exceptional partners in Austria,” said Formula 1 president and CEO Stefano Domenicali.
“The vision and passion of Dietrich Mateschitz, a man who loved this sport, made this all possible and it is a very special moment and a tribute to him that we can confirm we will be racing at this incredible venue until 2030.”
“The race in Austria is a big favourite for the drivers and all our fans and we are looking forward to many years of excitement and action that are ahead of us.”
