Three people have died and thousands have been evacuated as floods continue in the Emilia-Romagna region, according to Reuters.

While the rain is forecasted to lift ahead of the race weekend, dangerous conditions remain with highways cut off and the risk of landslides and subsidence of river banks.

Formula 1 personnel were told to leave on Tuesday afternoon and stay away on Wednesday, according to Sky Sports, with images on social media showing areas of the Formula 2 and Formula 3 paddocks underwater.

The grand prix weekend is expected to begin with media commitments on Thursday before track action is scheduled for Friday morning.
