Edoardo Mortara tops Formula E testing in final running at Valencia
Edoardo Mortara has set the fastest overall time in Valencia pre-season Formula E testing in the final of five sessions.
The ROKiT Venturi Racing driver was in the mix early on Thursday, trading times with Nick De Vries, Stoffel Vandoorne, and Antonio Felix Da Costa in the early stages of the six hour session.
Jean-Eric Vergne was the driver to beat when he went under the 1:26 minute lap time about an hour into the session, but Mortara was able to respond with a blistering 1:25.763 around the halfway mark.
Vergne was second fastest overall with Vandoorne in third as nine of the ten fastest times of the test were set in the final Thursday session.
Kiwi Mitch Evans was fourth fastest for Jaguar, with countryman Nick Cassidy in seventh for Envision Racing.
With the pre-season test now over, teams will continue with private development work before the season begins with a double-header in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia on 28-29 January.
