Capacity crowd for Australian Grand Prix as tickets sell out
The Australian Grand Prix is set to hit capacity as Sunday general admission tickets sell out.
Grandstand seats for Formula 1's return to Melbourne had earlier sold out, with extra stands added to cope with the high demand.
General admission 'Park Pass' tickets have now been exhausted for Sunday 10 April.
Capacity for the venue is between 120,000 - 130,000, with organisers now expecting a crowd in excess of 100,000 on Saturday as well for F1 qualifying.
"When the pandemic hit, the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix was one of the first major events in the world to be cancelled and it's now shaping up for a massive comeback," said Australian Grand Prix Corporation CEO Andrew Westacott.
