Billy Frazer joins grid for New Zealand Grand Prix
US-based Kiwi Billy Frazer will join the Toyota Formula Regional Oceania series for two rounds, including the New Zealand Grand Prix.
The 20-year-old has contested two seasons in the USF2000 series on the USF Pro ladder after earning Formula Ford champion status in New Zealand.
"It’s fantastic to be competing in the New Zealand Grand Prix. This race was a priority on my 2023 calendar and I cannot thank my partners and team enough," said Frazer.
The Kiwi now lives in the United States, studying mechanical engineering and motorsport at Indiana University.
"I’m super excited to show New Zealand what I have learned in the two years since I last competed in a Toyota FT-60."
"It’s been two very productive years for me in the United States on the Road to Indy programme but I can’t wait to go racing at Hampton Downs again."
Frazer will join the Castrol Toyota Formula Regional Oceania grid from round three at Manfeild before taking on the NZ Grand Prix at Hampton Downs.
